⚠️ Chase → Hyatt Transfer Ratio Is Changing
Chase has announced a significant change to World of Hyatt transfers from the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
Previously, Chase Ultimate Rewards points transferred to Hyatt at 1:1 — meaning 10,000 Chase points became 10,000 Hyatt points.
The new transfer ratio is 4:3:
10,000 Chase points → 7,500 Hyatt points
For existing Sapphire Preferred cardholders who applied before June 15, 2026, the new ratio takes effect October 1, 2026. Those who applied on or after June 15, 2026 already receive the new 4:3 transfer rate.
What this means: If you currently have a Sapphire Preferred and are planning a Hyatt redemption, it may be worth booking before October 1 while you can still transfer at 1:1.
⚠️ Don't transfer points speculatively. Hyatt transfers are irreversible, so confirm award availability and have a specific redemption in mind before moving your points.
